Woman in the Weeds: What Happened to Chelsea?

One of the most frustrating aspects of a missing persons case is when no one will help you search for your loved one. Even worse, when your loved one is found deceased and the very people you expect to be there for you turn a blind eye. In this case, as in many others, the victim’s family was hopeful that the police would look at every possible angle in their investigation.

Unfortunately, they seem to have abandoned it altogether.

Chelsea Poorman deserves justice.

Her remains were found in April 2022, outside of a vacant Shaughnessy mansion on West 36th Avenue in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

How did she get there? And how did she die?

The Vancouver police initially labeled her death non-suspicious, but where and how she was found raises numerous questions. Her family is hellbent on finding the answers to what happened to Chelsea. Police have closed her case, even though they have been unable to determine her cause of death.

The 24-year-old Cree woman had been missing for one and a half years before she was found in a neighborhood only six kilometers, or…
