Wife Shot in Face by Teenager Having 18-Month Affair with Her Husband
She never saw it coming. As she opened the door to her unknown visitor, a young teenage girl was unassumingly standing before her. The teen told Mary Jo Buttafuoco that her husband was having an affair with her sister.

It was Spring 1992 in Massapequa, Long Island. Amy Fisher was a 17-year-old girl who would soon be known around the world as “Long Island Lolita.” The wild, scandalous story became an overnight sensation. Mary Jo, her husband, Joey, and his teenage lover were all over the tabloids and talk shows. It was possibly the biggest news event to happen in 1992.
On the morning of the 19th of May, the Buttafuoco children went off to school and 36-year-old Joey Buttafuoco left for work. Mary Jo stayed home to do some painting in the backyard.
When the doorbell rang, she got up from her work and unknowingly opened the door to the rest of her life.
The unintimidating girl she was soon face-to-face with lied by introducing herself as Ann Marie. She presented a t-shirt to Mary Jo, claiming it belonged to Joey and that he was sleeping with her little sister. Mary Jo was in disbelief. She decided that the young visitor must be lying and asked her to leave. Then…
