Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Katrina. I am sorry to hear you had to endure all of that. People tend to be unsympathetic if it’s something that they can’t relate to. I am so glad you were able to move on in life and have learned to live without fear! That is difficult for most people to overcome. I hope things continue to improve for you.

It is my hope that by sharing these stories in the media, domestic violence will be taken more seriously, and potential victims will be able to find the strength to walk away.
