Rich Girl Kidnapped and Hanged in Underground Drain by Serial Killer
17-year-old Lesley Whittle died alone in the dark while her abductor abandoned her to rob banks.
Seventeen-year-old Lesley Whittle was snatched from her bedroom one cold, dark, gloomy night and held in a drainage system by her kidnapper. It was January 1975 and Lesley was taken from her home in Highley, Shropshire, clothed only in her pajamas. While wearing a mask, her eventual killer forced her to climb down into a dismal drain by holding a firearm to her head.
Six weeks later in March, Lesley was found deceased, hanging from a crude noose made of metal wire. It was chilly, dank, and pitch black where she had been held captive. She died in the silence; alone.
Only hours before her abduction, the girl had been peacefully sleeping alone in her bedroom when she was suddenly awakened by a local serial killer and bank robber by the name of The Black Panther. Because he was dressed in all-black clothing during the commission of his crimes, he earned the title “The Black Panther.”
The Black Panther’s true identity was a man named Donald Neilson; a monster who had been terrorizing England for some time.
