Super Bowl Sunday, the 3rd of February 2008; Larry Fenton was planning to watch the game at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He never got the chance. Before kickoff, his wife would find him murdered, covered in blood, his eyes glazed over.

And she would soon become the prime suspect in his death.

Larry shared his home with his wife, Rebecca Fenton. The two had met at the gym they were both members of three years prior. Rebecca was in her 30s; Larry in his 50s. Their relationship moved very quickly, and the two lovebirds got married in less than a year.

“We did fall in love very quickly and started talking marriage very, very early on,” Rebecca admitted about their relationship. She called him a handsome prince who treated her like a royal princess. It was a fairy-tale life. But sometimes fairy tales end in tragedy.

This one was no exception.

Rebecca had been working as a nursing assistant before they got married but quit her job shortly after the wedding. Larry was a well-to-do pharmaceutical rep, selling surgical equipment. He made enough money for the both of them and the Fenton’s were financially secure.
