In the heart of Omaha, Nebraska, Shanna ‘Liz’ Golyar spiraled into an unhealthy obsession with her boyfriend at the time, Dave Kroupa. What began as a casual affair quickly took a deadly turn when Kroupa started focusing his attention on another woman.

When Cari Farver and Kroupa began seeing each other, Golyar went into a fit of rage and devised a plan to get rid of her rival. On November 13, 2012, Golyar lured Farver into her vehicle and stabbed her to death, burning her body to get rid of the evidence.

For three years, Farver’s family frantically searched for her while Golyar assumed the dead woman’s identity. She sent thousands of chilling and threatening messages to Kroupa and those closest to Farver to make it appear as though her victim was alive and well.

Golyar even burned down her own home and killed her own pets to convince Kroupa that Farver was after her. And it worked!

However, in 2015, her charade finally began to unravel when she made a suspicious call to 911…
