The popular and ground-breaking TV series “Glee” has lost many of its bright stars to shocking tragedy. At 33 years old, Naya Rivera became the third cast member to die at an early age, sparking the conspiracy of a “Glee curse.”
Her body was discovered on the anniversary of her co-star Cory Monteith’s death in 2013.
Rivera was an American actress, singer, and model who captured the hearts of her fans worldwide. She began her career at just four years old with a role on the CBS sitcom “The Royal Family.” Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the rising star built an impressive resume, appearing on TV shows like “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Family Matters,” and “Baywatch.”
But it was her role as cheerleader co-captain, Santana Lopez on “Glee,” that really caught everyone’s attention. Originally written as a minor character, Santana quickly became a fan favorite and a staple character on the show, thanks to Rivera’s raw talent and charisma.
Sadly, on July 8, 2020, she mysteriously vanished during a boating trip with her four-year-old son, Josey, on Lake Piru in Southern California. What began as a serene afternoon on the water turned into a desperate search when their boat was found adrift, with Josey alone and asleep on board.
Was Rivera a victim of the “Glee” curse?
