The unsolved Oakland County Child Killer case was a horrific and tragic series of murders that sent shockwaves throughout the Detroit metropolitan area in 1976 and 1977, and parents became fearful of allowing their children to play outside or walk to school alone.

Law enforcement officials worked tirelessly to try and find the killer, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to make an arrest. Four children still wait for their murderer to be brought to justice, and there may be many more victims out there, still waiting to be found.

The Oakland County Child Killer, also known as the “Babysitter Killer,” took the lives of innocent, unsuspecting children, but not before holding them hostage for days. Four children, two boys, and two girls, were abducted and murdered in Oakland County, Michigan. All of the confirmed victims were between the ages of 10 and 12.
